Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information MyPassportBros collects, how we use it, and what rights you have. We keep this simple — we collect as little as possible and never sell your data.
1. What We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to operate the service:
Email address: Collected by Stripe when you complete a purchase, for sending your payment receipt and granting access. We receive your email from Stripe to identify your account and manage your Research Pass.
Usage data: Basic analytics such as which pages are visited and how long the session lasts. This data is aggregated and not tied to personally identifiable information.
IP address and browser type: Collected automatically by our server logs for security and operational purposes.
We do not collect your name, phone number, or any other personal information unless you contact us directly.
2. Payment Data
All payments are processed by Stripe. We never see, handle, or store your credit card or payment details. Stripe processes the transaction and notifies us that a purchase was completed. Stripe's own privacy policy governs how your payment data is handled — you can review it at stripe.com.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Verify your purchase and grant access to the Research Pass
- Send transactional emails (e.g., purchase confirmation)
- Respond to support requests you send us
- Monitor and improve site performance and security
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the service.
4. What We Don't Do
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing or commercial purposes. We do not use your data to serve you ads. We do not build profiles on you beyond what is needed to manage your access.
5. Data Sharing
We only share your data in the following limited circumstances:
Stripe: As our payment processor, Stripe receives transaction details necessary to process your purchase.
Hosting / infrastructure providers: Our service runs on third-party infrastructure. These providers process data only to operate our service and are not permitted to use it for other purposes.
Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required to do so by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
6. Cookies
We use cookies for basic site functionality — for example, to keep you logged in during your session. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though doing so may affect how the service functions.
7. Data Retention
We retain your email address for as long as your account is active or as needed to manage your access and handle support requests. If you request deletion of your data, we will remove it unless we are required to retain it for legal or compliance reasons.
8. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Union or a country with equivalent data protection laws, you have the following rights:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data
- Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data
- Restriction: Request that we limit how we process your data
- Objection: Object to certain uses of your data
- Portability: Request your data in a portable format
To exercise any of these rights, email us at mypassportbros@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
9. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure. Our site uses HTTPS encryption for all data in transit. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe over encrypted connections.
No system is completely secure. If you have reason to believe your data has been compromised, please contact us immediately.
10. Third-Party Links
The MyPassportBros platform may contain links to external sources (such as government visa sites or data providers). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing them any personal information.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
12. Contact
